Thank you for choosing to be part of our community at Aura. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to the Aura Notify mobile application and explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
Aura is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal data.
- No Notification Data Sent: The App requires access to your notifications to trigger visual animations. However, the contents of your notifications, sender information, and messages are processed entirely locally on your device. None of this data is ever sent to our servers or any third parties.
- No Analytics or Tracking: We do not track your app usage, IP address, or device information for analytics or advertising purposes.
2. Permissions We Request and Why
To function correctly, Aura requires specific Android permissions. Here is why we need them and how they are used:
- Notification Access: To detect when a new notification arrives or a phone call is incoming so the App can trigger the corresponding visual effect. We do not read the content of your messages.
- Draw Over Other Apps (Overlay): To display the particle animations and visual effects on your screen, overlaying your currently open apps. This does not capture or record your screen.
- Query All Packages: To allow you to select specific apps installed on your device and assign custom animation effects to them locally.
3. Local Storage
All your custom configurations, chosen emojis, colors, and motion styles are stored locally on your device's internal storage. If you uninstall the app, this data is deleted. We do not back up or sync this data to any external servers.
4. Third-Party Services
If you choose to use our premium features, the App may use third-party services (such as RevenueCat or Google Play Billing) to process in-app purchases and subscriptions. These services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your payment and subscription data. We do not have access to your payment details.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
